I'd heard there is a Fort Alexandria in Minnesota. What's its history? Is it worth a visit?(give a different answer) .
You're right. On 206 Broadway there is Fort Alexandria, which is ment to be a replica of the original fort built in1862 in order to provide protection from the Sioux Indian uprising. That historic site includes a log general store, a log cabin, a log church, an 1885 school house, and a large agricultural building with exhibits. If you're interested, here's the website for other details: www.runestonemuseum.org/fort.htm. You could decide then if it is worth it or not.
