Sawtooth National Recreation Area is the most popular place in Boise for fun outdoor activities such as camping, picnicking, backpacking, rock climbing, photography, float boating, kayaking, trail bike riding, mountain bike riding, boating, fishing, or hunting. Sometimes it gets pretty full especially in summer. It's about 85 miles north of Twin Falls in the Sawtooth National Forest.
