There's stand-up and open-mike comedy at Dick Doherty's Comedy Vault (124 Boylston St, Theater District), but there other area locations that promote that kind of happenings, such as Nick's Comedy Stop, perhaps more popular than the others. You'll find it on 100 Warrenton St, Theater District. This one presents local comics every night except Monday.
