Well, for one it's actually the biggest fresh water lake in the US. It's about 120 miles long, 12 miles wide and a few hundred feet deep ... a small sea actually. This is one place you should see at least once in your life ... amazing. If you get to Burlington, go on a cruise on the lake on one of the many ferries running regularly across the lake.
