Yes, that's true ... although it's not actually the oldest garden, but rathere the oldest landscaped garden. It's called Middleton Place, and now it's one of the main tourist attractions in Charleston. It's a historical house you can visit without paying an admission fee :) It's located on Ashley River Road.
