Well, I can tell you ... I stayed once at the Comfort Inn - Lake Norman hotel near Charlotte and I was not disappointed ... I only paid 60 $ a night, but I felt like staying at a 4 star hotel or sonmething. and it's also far from the maddening city ... It's on I 77 north of Charlotte, in very nice surroundings.
