Mint Museum of Fine Art, Charlotte

Posted 1 year ago by jhon in response to avatar jimmy's question: I'll visit an old Italian friend that moved to Charlotte in a few days, but I don't want to just sit and chit-chat. I'd like to be introduced to the traditional art of the area, (give a different answer) .

Then you must ask him to take you to 2730 Randolph Rd., to the Mint Museum of Fine Art that has great exhibits of paintings characteristically for both the North and South America. The museum also hosts North Carolina Pottery exhibits, which I really liked and photographed a lot, Colonial American Art and The Spanish Colonial paintings. Although usual tax is 6$ and 3$ for students, try to drop there on a Thursday after 5 pm, when it's free.
