As far as i know, the only church in Chicago that bears any resemblance to the famous St peter cathedral in Rome is the St Mary of the Angels Church. It is a huge building, with a dome to match ... It is located on N hermitage Ave and is one of the places I recommend you visit the next time you get to Chicago
