East Village is developing, lively and friendly neighborhood featuring lots of shops, restaurants and business centres. Most people choose to go shopping in this part of the town. Located on the east side of downtown Des Moines, it was one of the first commerce areas of the city, comprising some of Iowa's most impressive buildings as State Capitol.
