Someone told me there's a major happening concerning arts in general in Detroit? does anybody know more?(give a different answer) .
You're right, in mid-September it's held the Detroit Festival of the Arts, the Motor City's premier arts festival, featuring a repertoire of professional painters, sculptors, musicians, dancers, puppeteers, and storytellers. I read that highlights of this annual festival include the Repercussion Theatre's Shakespeare-in-the-Park, a special kid's fair, and the World Market, an outdoor extravaganza that celebrates ethnic food and art. Events are held in the Detroit's University Cultural Center and on the Wayne State campus.
