New Parthenon, a popular restaurant from Detroit serving Greek food

Posted 1 year ago by princess in response to avatar listo's question: is there any restaurant in Detroit serving Greek food? I really began to love it since I arrived from Greece. (give a different answer) .

There is one on 583 Monroe Street (Pegasus Taverna), but it's the most expensive of the Greek restaurants around. So I'm going to suggest you another: the New Parthenon, located at 547 Monroe St, where you can eat octopus for lunch, dinner or a midnight snack. This popular spot is usually open until 3am, and it's a favorite with the late-night bar crowd. It's surrounded by huge Greek statues and garish Art Deco murals. I only tried baked eggplant, pastitso baked macaroni and spinach pie but it was delicious, so probably I'm going to eat there again...
