Detroit Zoo and Belle Isle Zoo from Detroit.

Posted 1 year ago by yolanda in response to avatar arnold's question: How's the Detroit's zoo? anyone who's been there...? (give a different answer) .

Hello! I've been in Detroit for a weekend with my parents and I visited Detroit Zoo (it's on 8450 W. Ten Miles Road, Royal Oak). There are more than 1200 animals (if I remember well) from hundreds of species that live uncaged in natural habitats- that's what I liked the most! Don't miss the "penguinarium" (it's said is the world's largest) and the butterfly house.
If you want a bird's eye view of animal roaming in natural settings, try the Belle Isle Zoo (Belle Isle Park, East Jefferson and East Grand Blvd). bye! :-h
