No, pumpkin, it's more like a God-sent miracle, but the hot springs do exist a little bit north outside Fairbanks. The miners who founded the town in the 20th century discovered them, and formed some communities around, where you can now go hiking and fishing without freezing to death. Go soak in the steaming pools, along with the locals, and then admire the famous northern lights!
