maria in response to superstar's question:
What's the story of this Fairbanks town? Is it a spot conquered by night all winter?(give a different answer) .
When winter is working at its full potential, the poor inhabitants only have 3-4 hours of daylight per day. Temperatures are unmerciful too, reaching -50 F (you make the C transformation). Fairbanks is far from dazzling, resembling more to a border town, set on the Chena river. It was built by miners in the 20th century, and turned later into a transportation center.
