Gettysburg National Military Park

The park is the place where the Union and Confederate armies fought in July 1863 during the American Civil War. Although it lasted only 3 days, there was much blood spilled and 50,000 men killed, hurt or captured. The 6,000 acre-park shows about 1,700 statues, graves on the Cemetery Hill, Robert E. Lee's headquarters and legendary sites such as the one where general George Picket made the unlucky charge against the Union soldiers. The place inspired me, you know?
