I once visited and I really liked Hattieburg Zoo at Kamper Park (you'll find it at 107 S. 17th Ave or calling 601-545-4576). I was there during the weekend and it wasn't very crowded, so it's very good for your doughter. it features the Asian, Australian, Mississippi habitat, African veldt and Siberian tiger exhibit. the staff was very friendly!
