I know a really cheap hostel on Ala Moana Blvd, just a block from the beach. They have dorms with bunk beds, a night there is $16. The living conditions are ok, just what a backpacker on a budget would need. They have single and double rooms too, the price starts at $50, which still is a good price for Honolulu
