Bishop Museum Honolulu

Posted 1 year ago by gergana in response to smooky's question: What is the Bishop Museum? I constantly find mentions about in all Honolulu museum reviews. Is it that good? (give a different answer) .

This is essentially a historic museum about Hawaii's past. When I was there I learned that the founder built it for his wife, who was a descendant of the Kamehameha royal family. All the exhibits are related to past and present Hawaiian history and art. It might sound boring but actually it's not, everything is well and interestingly organized. The entry fee was $16 at the end of last year.
