Waiting times for non-Americans can be significantly longer. When you exit the plane, and before you can collect your luggage, you have to wait at the line for non-US citizens. It could get an hour and a half before you are cleared for entry, especially if the line is long. It takes so long because they check your name in the data base, get a fingerprint and take a picture of you, and ask a few questions.
