Quite right. The enormous 4000 acres Hopi reservation consists of a series of villages set on high mesas. On First Mesa, you'll bump into your cavemen - it's a 30 people village, called Walpi, where they leave without electricity and running water. On the Second Mesa, there's the village of Shungopavi, where people still respect the custom of Hopi snake dances. These take place only in even-numbered years and are not open to the public.
