Hoover Dam is a $165 million construction built for generating power by using water force (Colorado River and Lake Mead- artificial reservoir ). Getting there, you'll enter the Hoover Dam Visitor Centre, a large, 3 story, circular structure. Tickets are provided from the Reception Lobby and you can view a 12 min video presentation about the importance of water in our lives, and all the steps that led to the final construction, as well the benefits that follow.
