Mount Charleston Recreation Area, Las Vegas

If I were you, I would spend my free days at the Mt Charleston Recreation Area. It's in the Spring Mountains of the Humboldt-Toiyabe National Forest on route 157. The mountain is covered with pine and juniper trees and wildlife is diverse including the desert bighorn sheep, the mule deer, and many others. It's really refreshing to spend some of your time there, just enjoying the nature and the chirp of the birds. Hiking trails are available, also camping and skiing.
