Off NV 159 you will catch sight of the Red Rock Canyon Visitor Center (702/515 5350). There is the official entrance to the park. The staff will help you with information about main trails, hikes, and will show you some history exhibits about the canyon and the surroundings. They have a daily schedule from 8:30am to 4:30pm.
