I don't know if it's the cheapest solution, but it's the fastest. The 4 mile route runs from the MGM Grand at the end of the Strip to the Sahara at the northern end, stopping at the main stations. These trains can take more than 200 people at a time, and fares are about $5 for a one way ride.
