Although Litchfield is mainly a quiet region, its villages are by far the best places one could dream of for a quiet week-end. Washington, Roxbury or Bridgewater offer great panoramas in a mild landscape. Lake Waramaug is perfect for a picnic or for simply contemplating the coulourful meadows that are covered in wildflowers.
