State capitol of Little Rock

Posted 1 year ago by avatar mercer in response to igor's question: What is there to see in the state capitol from Little Rock? Worth a go? (give a different answer) .

Well, as I come from a third-world country, I feel drawn to visiting imposing buildings, sign of wealthiness and civilization...I've been to the state capitol two years ago, and what stroke me were the enormous marble stares and columns, the rotunda, and the 4-inch-thick brass doors. The decorations were also outstanding, with stained-glass windows and murals. You can arrange a free guided tour by calling 501/682-5080 or go directly to Capitol Ave and Woodlane, perched on the hill west of downtown!
