You should definitely check in at Travelodge Santa Monica- it's on 3102 W Pico Blvd. They offer large and neat rooms and guests' children stay for free. There is a nice courtyard with gas barbecue and picnic tables. Rooms' prices, including breakfast, range from 64 to 104 usd and the beach is about 2 and half miles away.
