I'll be in LA in June. Is there a cultural event, a festival that I can write about during that month?(give a different answer) .
I think there are two festivals held in approximately the same period. One is "Mariachi USA Festival", held on the third weekend in June at the Hollywood Bowl. It is a four hour fiesta of the finest mariachi music and folk dancing performances. The other one is "Absolut Chalk" held during an entire weekend in late June on the streets of Pasadena. This is the world's largest street painting.
