My favorite jazz hangout in LA is called Jazz Bakery and it's situated in Culver City, on Helms Ave, no.3233. It is housed in a former Helms Bakery complex. Here is the place where heavy jazz names perform: expect to see Dave Gruisin, brother Don and the Wallace Roney Quintet among many others. You can bring your own drinks or order one inside and there is a cover charge of about 30 dollars.
