I'll be visiting LA in January. Is there an interesting event happening then?(give a different answer) .
The Rose Parade is held on New Year's Day when a long procession of flower-decorated floats along Colorado Blvd in Pasadena. The parade is followed by Rose Bowl football game and the after parade viewing of floats at Victory Park. If you're in LA in late January you might catch the Chinese New Year, celebrated by a colorful Dragon Parade with fireworks, carnival rides and other traditional performances held in the heart of Chinatown.
