If you're there in autumn you will be able to catch Catalina Island JazzTrax Festival during October. It really gathers the best and the newest in smooth jazz and the island gets packed with fans from all around the country. The website will give you more information: www.jazztrax.com. Also, in late September there is Watts Towers Day of the Drum Festival & Jazz Festival. These are two back to back events that take place in one weekend with drummers from around the world performing on the first day and free jazz, gospel and blues singing the following day.
