If you refer to those steep cliffs and dark caves that appeared in Star Trek as well as Batman, Lone Ranger and other TV shows or feature films then we're talking about the Bronson Caves. This former quarry is hidden in an isolated area in the southwest corner of Griffith Park. Drive along Canyon Dr north from Franklin Ave and park in the last lot before the locked gate at the Hollywoodland Camp. After that, walk back south, turn left and head past a gate and go up a fire road for about a quarter mile. Lost you already? After that you just have to turn left where the trail forks and the caves will be right there.
