hans's question:
Can you recommend me an unusual art gallery, something you'd call avant-garde?(give a different answer) .
You should check out this edgy art gallery called La Luz de Jesus, it's on Hollywood Blvd, no. 4663, Silver Lake area. The owner, Bob Shire, who was surnamed "Peggy Guggenheim of lowbrow", puts on monthly changing exhibitions of post pop works. The genres displayed range from folk and religious to pin-up and comic art. This gallery was the starting point for artists like Manuel Ocampo, Neon Park, Robert Williams.
