Los Angeles, US Bank Tower

Posted 1 year ago by jhon in response to avatar firestar's question: What buildings in LA featured in movies? (give a different answer) .

The tallest building between Chicago and Hong Kong is the 1017ft tall US Bank Tower on West 5th Street, Financial district. It's so tall that it was called until recently the Library Tower because its managers had to buy air rights from the adjacent Richard Riordan Central Library in order to go beyond official height limits. You must have seen it in the movie "Independence Day" when an alien spaceship attacked it.
