Where did the first Academy Award ceremony take place?(give a different answer) .
There is an elegant hotel on Hollywood Blvd, no. 700, called the Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel, that appeared in many commercials and Hollywood movies. It has a Spanish Colonial architecture and a interesting history. So, this hotel housed the first Academy Awards in 1929, then called "the Merit Awards". If you'd like to visit , the admission is free.
