There is something of the kind called LA River Tours- you can get more info from this website www.folar.org- that organizes tours every third Sunday from March to November. They promise a trip that discovers the history, mystery and ecology of the LA River and each tour explores a different section. The tour fee is a suggested donation of only 5 $.
