We have been there and it turned out to be far better than we expected, the museum was informative enough, but the best part was the tour to the track (part of the museum ticket). Every 30 minutes or so a tour was hosted by one of the guides and they'd walk you out to the area where the horses are prepared, then to a front row seat at the track to watch the race. Sometimes you might get the chance of having a photo with riders and their horses. It's on Central Ave and the entry fee is a mere $2.
