Basilica of St. Mary, Minneapolis

Posted 1 year ago by waheed in response to avatar arnold's question: I am searching for an old church in Minneapolis. I am really fascinated about the paintings inside the churches. any recommendations? (give a different answer) .

I think the Basilica of St. Mary will satisfy your wish. That grand beaux-arts church was actually the nation's first basilica, taking 20 years to complete. It's an enormous white marble building supporting the 33-foot twin towers in the front. One of the towers houses a bell that can be heard for miles around. There are even guided tours offered every Sunday morning.
It's on 88 North 17th St, you can't miss it.
