Pere Marquette Beach - the only nationally certified "clean beach" on the Great Lakes, Muskegon

Posted 1 year ago by avatar marie in response to avatar krystyna's question: Are the beaches from Muskegon worth a visit? what's so special about them? (give a different answer) .

Well, the county has several beautiful beaches with public access to Lake Michigan. But "the best kept secret of Muskegon County" is the Pere Marquette Beach, which is the only nationally certified "clean beach" on the Great Lakes. So, it's one of the cleanest in Michigan!
Also, if you are interested in amazingly beautiful sunsets and walking along uninhabited stretches of sand with your toes in the freshwater surf, Pere Marquette Beach may be the beach for you. For more info: http://www.visitmuskegon.org/beaches.htm
