There are some traditional Aeerican diners in New Orleans, but many of them also have European dishes. Maybe the Red Fish Grill is good for you. You'll definitely like the grilled chicken with mushrooms and the various steaks, but you should also try the grilled redfish. The place is clean and has good service and the prices are decent, $25-30 for one. It's on Bourbon street.
