Some of the best I know are called Cafe Carlyle, in 76th St, Madison Ave, at the Carlyle Hotel. Very famous with stars-they perform sometime, other times they are in the audience. Another place would be Danny's Skylight Room, on 46th St, btwn Eighth and NInth Aves, A bit expensive, this one really is home to famous performers
