St Marks Bookshop is the place to go to if, as you say, Indie books is what you are looking for. It's mainly specialized in political literature, poetry and novels. You'll also find some very nice travel guides and magazines. In case you can't find what you are looking for, just ask the staff. They seem to now everything around there :))
