I don't know if "dangerous" is the exact word for defining Bronx. However, it is, indeed, a rather more daring area of NYC. Graffiti is all around, the noise is a bit more disturbing, but there's no eventuality of getting harmed as long as you're not too daring yourself. Besides, it's a not such a bad area to vsiit, after all.
