Ferry trips to Staten Island are very popular with tourists, but also with locals, they consider them romantic cruises. The most extraordinary part (besides the superb views) about getting to Staten Island is that the ferry trip is free of charge:). A ferry departs every half hour, from Bowling Green. Getting to the ferry is easy on the subway no 4 and 5.
