abrar's question:
Can anybody describe Palm Springs for me, please? I only know it's placed in the desert...(give a different answer) .
Despite being hemmed by the stiff Colorado Dessert and guarded by St Jacinto Mountains, the city is a lovely corner of swaying palm trees, flowers and golf courses. During the 1920's, Hollywood stars used it for forbidden love affairs, as its isolation protected them from the paparazzi. The problem is the awfully high temperatures, rarely dropping under 38C. That's why Palm Spring is busiest in chilly months, from October to April.
