Surprisingly enough for me cause I always stay at the 5 stars hotels in that part of the city :), the best hotel in terms of amenities in the La Jolla area is the Scripps Inn. I ended up there cause I forgot to make a reservation some place else, but from now on I'm not going anywhere else. It only costs 250 $ a night. it's on Coast Blvd
