USA Hostels San Diego on 5th Ave has 6-bedders and is packed full with backpackers ready to enjoy themselves to the limit. Charges are acceptable, 19-21$ for a dorm bed, 53-54$ for a single room. It has Internet facilities, a common kitchen, and a nice lounge for a mourning chit-chat or an evening hook-up. There's always something going on, such as a keg party or a sudden hallway gathering.
