miki's question: a question for those who know San Francisco better. any bar where live jazz is performed?(give a different answer) .
in case you are in the Fillmore District there's a good club there where all kind of music is played. this shouldn't be a problem because you can call at 673-8000 and ask when exactly are the jazz performances. the artists who keep the club alive are either national or local. a ticket to get inside is $8-12. The room 'makes boom boom' till 2am
