In the Castro (and San Francisco generally) the 'serious restaurants' are not open after 10pm or 11pm. But there are some which still function all night long. The restaurant Orphan Andy's get very noisy when youngsters leave discos or bars and come here for a snack (they like it because it's not expensive and they can seat at the table till sun rises).
