If you want to have the best vegetarian meal in San Francisco go to Millenium. It is somehow expensive (maybe you'll pay $70-80), but it's worthwhile... absolutely delicious food, and elegant design (romantic at the same time). It's open from 5.30pm to 9.30-10pm. A reservation would be advisable (415 345 3900).
